Jim has been doing a HF Radio net for over 12 years. Since 2001 it has been know as the “Rag of the Air”. He collects weather information for the South Pacific and reads it every day. He speaks to yachts from all over the South Pacific: Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu and other Islands. A log of yachts on passage is kept and contacts maintained with many yachts all over the South Pacific.
The “Rag is responsible for bringing a number of yachts to Fiji to visit and some come by ALSO Island. It is popular and very well known for the weather forecast, information, assistance and a place to check in.
